This recipe is easy to make and eat. please do try at home and share with your friends and family members . This recipe is very special in Rajasthan and Jodhpur. . You can try this recipe with Tomato ketch up, red chilli souce. Ingredients :-


  • Large Green Chilli (Bhavnagri Mirchi)- 200 g
Rajasthani Mirchi Vada Recipe | जोधपुरी मिर्ची वड़ा | Mirchi Pakora | Stuffed Chilli Pakora  ingredients

For Stuffings :


  • Boiled Potatoes :- 2 Medium Size (Grated)
  • Coriander Leaves :- 1/3 cup
  • Fennel Seeds (Sounf) :- 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Onion : 1 large Size
  • Ginger- Garlic Paste :- 2 tbsp
  • Cooking Oil - 50 g For Frying 
For Batter :-

  • Gram Flour (Besan) :- 100 g
  • All Purpose Flour (Maida) :- 50 g You may use little bit Corn flour or Rice flour for the crispiness
  • Water :- as required
  • Red Chili Powder:- 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Salt : 1 pinch
  • Ginger- Garlic Paste :- 1 tbsp

Method :

1. At fast, Grate/ mash the boiled potatoes then add onion. red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and mix all the things properly. Now stuffings is ready.

2. Slit the chili length wise and remove all the seeds.
take one chili at a time and stuff the prepared aloo masala inside. Stuffed chilies are ready to fry.

3. For batter preparation... Take 100 gm gram flour/ besan & add turmeric powder, red chili powder, chopped onion,
once the batter is ready add ginger garlic paste
now mix it well. Add water and make thick batter(Add little water at a time.). Batter is ready.

4. Turn on the flame and heat a pan on high flame and oil add let the oil heat.

5. Stir the batter once

6. Once the oil is heated , reduce the flame to medium low. Coat the stuffed chili with gram flour batter and properly drop into the hot oil.

7. flip it to cook from both sides.

8. Fry it on medium flame till it turns golden brown. and keep flipping in between.Take it out on the another plate.

9. Repeat the process for frying remaining stuffed chilies. Flip it carefully. Now,Take it out aside.

10. Mirchi vada/ pakora is ready serve hot with tomato or red chutney.
