छोटी मछली की करी | Small Fish Recipe in Bengali Style | Chhoti Machli ki Recipe

Preparations Time :- 10 Minutes

Making Time :- 15 Minutes

Serving :- 4

Ingredients

  • Any Type of Small Fish :- 275 g (Cleaned) 
  • Onion :- 1 Medium Size (Sliced)
  • Coriander Powder :- 2 tbsp ( Only for Garnishing)
  • Lukewarm Water For Gravy :- As per required

Dry Spices 

  • Salt – as taste
  • Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Refined Oil – 2-3 tbsp

Method 

1. At first Clean All the Fishes and wash it gently. After that mix some turmeric powder and 1/4 of salt and marinate it for half an hour. you may add little bit of oil in it, if you want.
2. Lets start the second step ,Turn on the Gas Stove and place a Frying pan , Heat the pan Properly . Add 2-3 cooking oil and heat the oil . After that Add marinated fishes into oil. wait for 3-4 minutes. After 3-4 minutes flip it and keep the flame medium.
3. When all the fishes turn in golden color then keep it aside.
4. Now in the same pan and in the same oil put 1/4 tsp whole cumin Seeds and saute it for 15 seconds. Then Add 1 medium size chopped onion and fry it until it takes turn into golden . Then add 1/2 tsp salt and mix it.
5. Now add Turmeric powder, Red chili powder,  cumin powder and 2 tbsp water with it.
6. Mix it properly in medium flame and cover it for 3 minutes. After that pour 1/2 cup water in it. After boiling the water add fried Small fish and wait for 2 minutes on low medium flame.
7. Small fish curry is ready to serve. Serve it with Steamed Rice.
